As an expert who is entering his twentieth year in the field and has worked with autism and many individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders in theory and practice, the inadequacy of studies conducted both abroad and in our country on the subject of ToM led me to take a step towards translating this book into Turkish and including it in the education programs of many children. In this way, it was possible to ensure that a wider audience (especially families) would be informed, in addition to a few experts who are knowledgeable on the subject. The reason I chose this practical guide was that it was a guide that not only experts but also parents could read and apply at home.
It is an undeniable fact that the educational interventions for autism spectrum disorders in our country are inadequate, but the fact that ToM is not used at all in these educational interventions, especially in children with verbal intelligence, is a major deficiency.
I hope that this guidebook will reach the right people and those in need to fill this huge gap, even if only a little. I wish everyone good work in advance.
